Who provided the soundtrack of the 1970s? The American duo Simon & Garfunkel certainly did. Their unforgettable music comes alive again thanks to the Simon & Garfunkel Revival Band, performing on January 31, 2026 at the Centre Culturel Machera in Grevenmacher.

Their program features the most beautiful songs of the iconic duo — their greatest, timeless hits. Dreamy, passionate ballads like “Scarborough Fair” and “Bright Eyes,” classics such as “Mrs. Robinson,” “The Boxer,” or “The Sound Of Silence” are just as much a part of the repertoire as the lively “Cecilia” or “El Condor Pasa.” The setlist also includes a few gems from the time after the duo’s split, when Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel each enjoyed successful solo careers.

Simply playing the songs wasn’t enough for die-hard Simon & Garfunkel fans Michael Frank (vocals, guitar) and Guido Reuter (vocals, violin, flute, and piano). So they brought in Sebastian Fritzlar (guitar, piano, drums, and bass), Mirko Sturm (percussion and drums), and Sven Lieser (guitar). Together, the five musicians recreate the subtle musical details that made Simon & Garfunkel so beloved. The hallmark remains their distinctive two-part vocal harmonies. The line between original and tribute blurs beautifully. The band manages to bridge perfect cover and personal interpretation so authentically that the audience is drawn into a captivating flow between rhythmic and deeply emotional songs.

Tickets for this event can also be purchased at the box office in the Machera Cultural Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 PM to 7 PM. The evening box office opens 2 hours before the event.
