Hans Sigl: The Christmas Show
Humorous Christmas readings with live music
In December 2026, the actor, best known for his role in the ZDF series “Der Bergdoktor”, will be performing live in Luxembourg with “Hans Sigl: The Christmas Show”.
Hans Sigl will be accompanied by an exceptional trio comprising piano, double bass and percussion.
With a selection of cheerful and contemplative Christmas stories personally curated by Hans Sigl, the actor invites the audience to an atmospheric evening. Humorous texts by Heinz Erhardt and Axel Hacke, Christmas literary classics by Theodor Fontane and Charles Dickens, and enchanting winter fairy tales from Scandinavia combine with musical interludes to create a varied programme. Between quiet moments and tongue-in-cheek humour, a rich, atmospheric production emerges that immerses the audience in the special spirit of the Christmas season.
The evening is framed by trusted friends: Michael Armann, who has accompanied Sigl on the piano for decades during her readings, improvises with double bassist Malte Tönissen and percussionist Almuth Lustig on Christmas classics such as ‘Jingle Bells’ or ‘Silent Night, Holy Night’. At some shows, the Frankfurt trio of Bastian Weinig, Max Jentzen and Nicolas Hering swings through the world-famous melodies.
