KOKUBU, one of the world’s most renowned Taiko drum groups, will embark on another major tour through Germany in 2027. With their new show “INFINITY” the ensemble sets fresh artistic accents, blending thunderous rhythms, perfect synchronisation, and pure energy into a captivating experience.

The exceptional musicians surrounding shakuhachi master Chiaki Toyama, Tsugaru-shamisen world champion Masamitsu Takasaki, and Karin Toyama on vocals and koto merge Japanese tradition with contemporary stage art. Expressive dancers enrich the ensemble with a new visual dimension.

A special highlight remains: the traditional Japanese sword dance, which merges with contemporary expressive dance to create an intense new aesthetic. This fusion meets the powerful energy of the Taiko drums and takes the audience on an impressive cultural journey.
